You want to share an image but its size is high. Especially encoding can fail in some formats. Better is to keep default output folder i.e. Do not keep input folder = Output folder. If permission not grated app will not work. From Marshmallow external storage needs runtime permission. You must use a FileManager & find all files here or simply change output folder to your choice then images can go into gallery!. They are saved in /app_data/ImageSizeReducer folder. By default images are not added into gallery to prevent multiple copies creating confusion!. Always use a gallery app from which returned image is loaded. Because some gallery apps do not clearly return image path. If Redmi 3S still crashes will be removed from supported devices. * I am getting crash reports + 1 star from Redmi 3S and some few more devices mostly. Now reduce all big images to small size and save lots of space which zip, rar, 7z tools cannot do! It also works as image converter with lots of format support.
